Buffalo, N.Y. (May 20, 2024) — Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield announced today a new event, “Fitness on the Rink,” will be coming to KeyBank Center on Thursday, May 30 from 4 to 7 p.m., featuring a full evening of free fitness classes for the community.
The health plan originated Fitness on the Field at Highmark Stadium four years again, and similarly, this new event offers the community a unique opportunity to get fit and have fun where their favorite hometown teams play.
Emceed by DJ Anthony, Fitness on the Rink features several different fitness classes, including yoga, bootcamp combo and cycling classes. Heal BFLO, Revolution and RISE Fitness will lead the 45-minute classes.
“As a health plan deeply rooted in the community, we recognize the importance of making fitness accessible and enjoyable for everyone," said Michael Ball, vice president, community affairs, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield. “We're thrilled to partner with our long-time partners at the Buffalo Sabres, who share our commitment to health and wellness, to bring ‘Fitness on the Rink’ to life.”
Pre-registration is required and the event is expected to fill up quickly. All attendees will receive post-workout snacks, and fitness towels, while supplies last. Free parking is available in the KeyBank Center ramp.
