Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (November 1, 2024) — Highmark today announced its Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance products in Northeastern Pennsylvania for 2025, offering individuals and families high-quality, low-cost and convenient health coverage options to help them be at their best.
“There’s a reason that an all-time high of more than 21 million Americans have chosen ACA health insurance plans,” says Bill Tuthill, vice president of Federal Markets for Highmark. “From young adults leaving their parents’ health coverage, to older Americans transitioning from employer-based insurance, to millions of entrepreneurs just looking for a good health plan for a good price, the ACA has a plan for every lifestyle and need.”
Thousands of Highmark members and millions of consumers nationwide have benefitted from expanded ACA subsidies that lower what they pay for their coverage. Nearly 80 percent of Highmark’s ACA members in Pennsylvania qualify for subsidies or tax credits to make their coverage more affordable, and nearly 25,000 of our Pennsylvania members are enrolled in a plan with a premium of less than $5 per month after subsidy.
“We are proud that more than 20,000 Northeastern Pennsylvanians trust Highmark for their ACA health insurance coverage,” says Ellen Galardy, president of Federal Business at Highmark. “We’re poised for continued growth with our health plans featuring low out-of-pocket costs, access to high-quality providers, and new solutions to make the health insurance experience better.”
