Highmark announces 2025 Affordable Care Act products in Delaware

Wilmington, Del. (November 1, 2024) — Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware announced its Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance products for 2025, offering individuals and families high-quality, low-cost and convenient health coverage options to help them be at their best.

“There’s a reason that an all-time high of more than 21 million Americans have chosen ACA health insurance plans,” says Bill Tuthill, vice president of Federal Markets for Highmark. “From young adults leaving their parents’ health coverage, to older Americans transitioning from employer-based insurance, to millions of entrepreneurs just looking for a good health plan for a good price, the ACA has a plan for every lifestyle and need.”

Thousands of Highmark members and millions of consumers nationwide have benefitted from expanded ACA subsidies that lower what they pay for their coverage. About 80 percent of Highmark’s ACA members in Delaware qualify for subsidies or tax credits to make their coverage more affordable. Nearly 2,500 of our Delaware members are enrolled in a plan with a premium of less than $5 per month after subsidy.

“We are proud that more than 36,000 members of the Delaware community trust Highmark for their ACA health insurance coverage,” says Ellen Galardy, president of Federal Business at Highmark. “Our health plans feature low out-of-pocket costs, access to a comprehensive provider network, and innovative solutions designed to enhance the health insurance experience for our customers.”

2025 Individual and Family plans
Delaware ACA consumers continue to find unique value in our broad-network my Blue Access PPO plans that include Highmark’s broadest network in the state plus access to a national PPO network of doctors and hospitals.

Highmark will continue to make available high-deductible health plans that can be joined with a tax-advantaged Health Savings Account. No matter which Highmark plan a consumer chooses, they will have the peace of mind and freedom to choose the in-network doctor or specialist they want to see, with no referrals necessary, and access to 97 percent of hospitals and over 2 million providers around the country through the BlueCard® program.

While the open enrollment period runs through January 15, consumers must enroll by December 15 for coverage that starts on January 1. For more information on Highmark’s 2025 ACA health insurance products, visit Highmark.com or call 833-606-1039.
