Buffalo, N.Y. (August 25, 2023) — The third annual Fitness on the Field, presented by Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, will return to Highmark Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 9, featuring a full day of fitness classes, special guest Caralyn Mirand Koch and a new KidsZone.
Just a week before the Buffalo Bills’ home opener, the event offers six different on-field fitness classes, plus six spinning classes in the Dunn Tire Club. Classes are 45-minutes each.
Pre-registration is required and the event is expected to sell out. Last year, nearly 1,000 Western New Yorkers participated.
A $10 donation, collected upon registration, covers all fitness and spin classes, as well as the speaking event. 100 percent of- the proceeds, which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by Highmark BCBS, will benefit the following nonprofit organizations selected by each fitness studio represented at the event: Special Olympics of New York, SPCA Serving Erie County, Mental Health Advocates of WNY, P.U.N.T., Make-A-Wish, Patricia Allen Fund, Project W.I.T.T. and Person Centered Services
“As we gear up for our third annual Fitness on the Field, it brings great pride to know that Highmark Stadium has become what we envisioned it to be through our partnership with the Buffalo Bills — a hub for community health and gathering, for everyone,” said Michael Ball, VP, Community Affairs, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Headlining the event is Western New York native and self-proclaimed confidence crusader, Caralyn Mirand Koch, whose powerful platform was founded on inspiring confidence in women of all shapes and sizes. Koch and Bills reporter Maddy Glab will discuss the importance of body positivity and the role that confidence building plays in ones overall mental and physical health.
Ball added, “Fitness on the Field will offer a lively atmosphere featuring the areas most beloved fitness instructors with offerings for the entire family, a motivational discussion with local and impactful influencer, Caralyn Mirand Koch, and tons of healthy giveaways. Plus, this year’s event also has a charitable element, benefitting local causes that are close to the hearts of our fitness instructors, and many others in our community.”
