Ask your doctor about prescribing medications on the formulary (also called the prescription drug list) to make sure they are covered.

• If you’re taking a drug not on the formulary, you may be responsible for the entire cost of the medications.
• Some drugs on the formulary will cost more because they’re in a higher tier.
• Some drugs require preauthorization.
