Medicare D-SNP frequently asked questions

A dual eligible special needs plan, or D-SNP, is a unique type of Medicare Advantage plan. It includes Medicare Part A and Part B benefits, as well as drug or pharmacy benefits. 

For 2026, Highmark Health Options will offer a D-SNP in West Virginia, Highmark Health Options Duals. It has a set of criteria you’ll need to meet before applying. 

Highmark Health Options Duals 

To qualify, you’ll need to:

• Live in the state of West Virginia
• Be eligible for Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B
• Be eligible for full Medicaid benefits
