Introducing the Highmark Wholecare My Healthy Flex Card

The My Healthy Flex Card is an all-in-one solution for managing the benefits you receive.

Funds will be added to your My Healthy flex card that you can use to shop for eligible items at participating retailers or from the My Healthy Flex catalog, and to pay for utilities.

2026 My Healthy Flex Card Benefit Amounts

For Our Diamond Plan Members in 2026:

Depending on your eligibility, your Diamond plan includes monthly benefits to help you stay healthy.

  • If you qualify for Special Supplemental Benefits for Chronically Ill* (SSBCI): You'll receive $300 each month. You can use this on things like over-the-counter medicines, healthy food, utilities, gas at the pump, and products to make your home safer. Be sure to use your funds by the end of the month because any money you don't use won't roll over.
  • If you don't qualify for SSBCI: You'll receive $100 each month to spend on over-the-counter products and home safety items. Remember, any unused funds won't roll over to the next month.

For Our Ruby Plan Members in 2026:

Your Ruby plan also offers benefits each quarter (every three months) to help support you.

  • If you qualify for SSBCI: You'll get $165 every three months to use on over-the-counter products, healthy foods, utilities, gas, and home safety products. Be sure to use your funds within the three-month period, as they don't roll over.
  • If you don't qualify for SSBCI: You'll receive $45 every three months for over-the-counter products and home and bathroom safety products. Keep in mind that any unused funds won't carry over to the next three-month period.

*Special supplemental benefits are for people who are chronically ill with long-term conditions like continued therapies, obesity, immunodeficiency, functional challenges, and behavioral health. You also need to be at risk of going to the hospital and need extra help from care management. There are other conditions that may qualify you for benefits. Highmark will help determine if you qualify for these benefits and may ask you for more information. Not all members will qualify.

2025 My Healthy Flex Card Benefit Amounts

In 2025, Diamond plan members will receive a monthly total allowance of $263 and Ruby members will receive a total of $82 per month.

Any unused funds will carry over each month but will expire at the end of the plan year.

Things to Know:

  1. To activate your card, call 1-844-210-2175 (TTY 711) 24/7 or visit MyHealthyFlex.com. You must activate your card before use. Keep your card, it is re-loadable. Unused funds will carry over each month, but expire at the end of the plan year.
  2. Use your My Healthy Flex card for the following:
    • OTC items such as cold medicines, incontinence supplies, vitamins, dental care, and much more.
    • Grocery items such as fruits, vegetables, meats, dairy items and much more.
    • Home and Bathroom Safety, such as shower benches, grab bars, bath mats and much more.
    • Utilities such as water, electric, gas to heat your home, and cell phone.
  3. Visit MyHealthyFlex.com or download the myTotal Benefits app from the app store on your smartphone for useful information about using your card, including benefit balances, approved products, to find participating stores in your area, transaction history and more. Call 1-833-623-2619 (TTY 711) to report a lost or stolen card.

How to Shop for Eligible Items at Participating Retailers

To view a list of eligible items and to find participating stores in your area, visit MyHealthyFlex.com or use the myTotal Benefits app on your smart phone.

The myTotal Benefits app also has a bar code scanner you can use with your smart phone camera to check if items are approved for purchase with your My Healthy Flex card.

Once in store, use your My Healthy Flex card to pay for eligible items at checkout. Selecting "credit" on the credit card terminal is recommended so that you will not be required to enter a personal identification number (PIN). You can setup or change your PIN at MyHealthyFlex.com or on the myTotal Benefits app.

If your purchase exceeds your My Healthy Flex card balance you can use an alternate form of payment. You should use your My Healthy Flex card first, and then inform the cashier of the alternate payment to complete the transaction.

How to Order Items From the My Healthy Flex Catalog

You will receive a printed catalog separately from Highmark Wholecare. There are two easy ways  you can order items from the My Health Flex Catalog: by phone or online.

  1. Online: To view the catalog and shop online, visit MyHealthyFlex.com or use the myTotal Benefits app on your smart phone to shop the online catalog. If your purchase exceeds your benefit balance you can use another form of payment by simply adding your alternate card information in the checkout section when prompted.
  2. By Phone: call 1-833-623-2619 (TTY 711) Monday - Friday: 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to place a catalog order by phone. If your purchase exceeds your card balance, the agent assisting you will walk you through providing alternate card information. After your order is processed you should receive your items in 1–4 days, and shipping is free. Please note that some items may take longer to ship. You can track orders at MyHealthyFlex.com

How to Pay for Utilities Using Your My Healthy Flex Card

Utilities are the basic services your home needs, like water, electric, gas to heat your home, and cell phone.

There are three easy ways to make payments using your My Healthy Flex card:

  1. Call your utility provider and use your MyHealthy Flex card as form of payment.
  2. Enter your My Healthy Flex card number on your bill.
  3. Enter your My Healthy Flex card number on the utility provider’s online payment web page.

If your benefit does not cover the full amount, contact your service provider to submit an alternate payment option. If you have issues, or if your service provider does not accept the card, call us at 1-833-623-2619 (TTY 711)
