What is Nurse Line? 

The Nurse Line is a number that lets you get professional help, 24-hours-a-day, 7-days-a-week. This resource is available to Highmark Wholecare members, and is important to use if you have questions about a recent diagnosis, treatment options or surgery, and or:

  • Current symptoms
  • Medication side effects
  • Self-care home treatments
  • When to go to the doctor
  • When to go to the Urgent Care Center or Emergency Room
  • Preventive care and lab tests

A registered nurse is available to assist all our Highmark Wholecare members, free of charge. If you are experiencing an emergency, please call 911. 

Health benefits or health benefit administration may be provided by or through Highmark Wholecare, an independent licensee of the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (“Highmark Wholecare”). Highmark Wholecare offers HMO plans with a Medicare Contract. Enrollment in these plans depends on contract renewal.
