Diane L. Gilworth, APRN, MPH, is Senior Vice President of Clinical Services at Highmark Health. Diane has oversight for Case Management, Utilization Management, Medical Policy/ Review, and Specialty Services including Pharmacy, Behavioral Health, Transplant, Oncology and Maternity.

Diane joined Highmark in 2018, relocating from Phoenix, AZ. While in Phoenix, Diane served at Aetna Medicaid as the National Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Chief Nursing Officer. At Aetna, Diane had oversight for care delivery services including, Integrated Care Management, Long Term Services/Support, Utilization Management, clinical RFP process and non-traditional credentialing.

Diane is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in Cardiology, with over 28 years of direct in-patient and ambulatory experience. She developed and operated one of the largest Complex Chronic Care Programs in the country at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates/Atrius while serving as the Vice President and Director of Nursing. During her entire tenure at Harvard Vanguard, Diane also carried a panel of patients in the Complex Chronic Care Program.

Diane’s hospital experience includes, the Director of Ambulatory Services at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston as well as the Nurse in Charge of Coronary Care Unit at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.

Diane received her Master of Adult/Geriatric Nursing, Advanced Practice Degree at Simmons College in Boston, a Master of Public Health from Boston University and a BSN from Montana State University. She has specialty certifications in Critical Care Nursing from Parkland Hospital in Dallas and advanced Bioethics from Georgetown University.

Diane developed and taught a course on CHF for the Simmons graduate nursing program after she completed her Advanced Practice Degree.
