Licensure limitations and requirements
State insurance department laws and regulations
Intellectual property laws
Privacy and security laws
Government contract laws and regulations
As stringent corporate governance guidelines, the integrity process demonstrates our commitment to the highest standards of business ethics and compliance, including in our government business.
Corporate compliance and governance
Our Enterprise Risk and Governance Division, under the direction of the chief compliance officer, has overall responsibility for administering our integrity process, including the Code of Business Conduct.
Our board of directors appoints the chief compliance officer. To ensure a high degree of autonomy for the integrity process, the chief compliance officer reports directly to our president and chief executive officer as well as to the board. In addition, both the audit committee of the board of directors and the corporate compliance committee provide guidance and oversight for the chief compliance officer. The corporate compliance committee comprises senior management, the president and chief executive officer and the chairman of the board of directors.
